The products we supply for refuse and waste incineration plants include dampers for grate ash removal, butterfly dampers for air preheaters, control dampers for combustion air and shut-off dampers for exhaust gas and recirculation air.

Application areas for dampers in waste incineration

Our grate ash removal dampers are optimised for the demanding conditions encountered under the combustion grate. The robust design facilitates reliable removal of grate ash to the ash removal system.

Multi-vane butterfly dampers are used for shutting off and bypassing the air preheater, due to the high dust load in special designs. Our sturdy dampers are also well suited for combustion air control in waste incinerators, as they can reliably withstand the generally demanding operating conditions.

For safe use of exhaust gas and recirculation air dampers, particular attention must be paid to dust content, high temperatures still prevailing in some cases and corrosive gases in the waste incineration plant. In addition to coated/rubber-coated solutions, we provide steel and stainless steel dampers for this purpose.

Electric or pneumatic actuators and manually operated gears can be used as drives.
